Usage guide
#Use server sorting and searching for large data sets to avoid missing results by searching only rows already downloaded.
Integration steps
- Define search conditions
For example, show Platform team orders in descending quantity order. The server must understand these conditions.
- Forward Grid requests
Pass sortModel, filterModel, quickFilter, and row ranges from datasource.getRows to your query API.
- Respond from the complete result set
Apply conditions and sorting on the server before slicing the requested range. Calculate the total using the same conditions.
Changing filters or sorting changes server requests and displays results consistent with the complete data set.
The current preview uses only browser order data. Connect actual server responses, loading, and failure handling in your app.
Useful terms
- sortModel
- Conditions specifying columns and sort directions.
- filterModel / quickFilter
- Per-column filter conditions and the global search term.
