Usage guide

#

Copy multiple cells at once or paste spreadsheet values into the table.

Try it yourself

  1. Start with a small selection

Select two or three Quantity cells. Testing between numeric columns first reduces confusion from format differences.

  2. Copy and paste

Copy with Ctrl/Cmd+C, select another editable starting cell, then press Ctrl/Cmd+V.

  3. Inspect changes

Check target cells and totals, then read clipboardPasted or editing events. Use Undo if needed.

Expected results

Fill multiple targets in the copied row/column arrangement.

Noneditable columns such as Total and values failing validation may not be applied. Verify a small range before using a larger one.

Useful terms

Paste starting point
The position receiving the copied range's top-left cell.
clipboardPasted
An event reporting paste results.

Using this feature in your product requires the Pro runtime and a valid license.

Events2
EventsDetail typeDescription
PRO
{ text: string; ranges: CellRangeBounds[] }fires after a successful clipboard copy (TSV payload + source bounds).
PRO
{ applied: number; skipped: number; top: number; left: number; changes: GridCellValueChangedDetail[]; }fires after every paste attempt (even `applied: 0` — the skipped counts are the host's only diagnostic). Arc review 239-242: `changes` carries the per-cell diffs (same shape as `cellValueChanged`, which also fires per changed cell) so hosts/audit never lose the diff.
Methods2
Method / ArgumentsReturn typeDescription
PRO
Promise<boolean>programmatic copy (same path as Ctrl/Cmd+C). Pro (grid.range-clipboard): the text is serialized and written only once entitled; the keyboard path does not route through this method.
PRO
Promise<boolean>programmatic paste from the async clipboard API (the keyboard path uses the native `paste` event instead — arc review 239-242). Returns whether anything applied.
